OnePlus 13 with Snapdragon 8 Elite now available in China
OnePlus 13:
Recently, OnePlus released its latest flagship smartphone, OnePlus 13, running on Snapdragon 8 Elite. This is the fastest chipset that OnePlus has ever developed. The company has already launched the OnePlus 13 in China, and there is a rumor saying the phone will reach India by January next year.
The display of OnePlus 13 is flat measuring 6.82 inches, unlike the curved version of its predecessor. The BOE’s X2 OLED screen supports an 8T LTPO panel that has a resolution of 2K with Dolby Vision support. The display can support up to 800 nits of typical brightness but will reach 4,500 nits when the HDR video is played.
As with the newly released Chinese flagship phones, the OnePlus 13 comes with IP68 dust and water resistance as well as IP69 certification. This means it can be taken underwater. The company has also adopted an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner this time and a new vibration motor – according to the company, the largest ever vibration motor seen in an Android phone – that promises “gaming controller level feedback”.
On the back, you get a huge circular camera island that houses a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor, a 50MP Sony LYT-600 periscope lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP Samsung S5KJN5 ultrawide sensor which also serves as a macro shooter.
The Chinese version of the OnePlus 13 operates on ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, right out of the box, but it will likely arrive in India on OxygenOS 15. All of this is propelled by a 6,000mAh battery that supports both 100W wired as well as 50W wireless charging.
The base variant is offered in three colourways – White, Obsidian and Blue, and with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage it will cost you 4,499 yuan or approx Rs 53,111. The 24GB RAM and 1TB storage version will retail at 5,999 yuan or approx Rs 70,819. At the time of writing, it has been available for pre-order in China, though there has been no confirmation of the Indian launch. However, some rumors say that One Plus would release it globally sometime next January.
